Dr. Julio F Fiore Jr is an Outcome Scientist and Associate Professor at McGill University's Department of Surgery, where he leads a research program dedicated to improving the outcomes of surgical patients. His academic career builds on over 10 years of research training in prestigious institutions in Brazil (Federal University of Sao Paulo), Australia (Melbourne University) and Canada (McGill University). Dr. Fiore has published extensively in the fields of surgery, perioperative care, and outcome measurement. He has delivered presentations to audiences worldwide, received multiple awards, participated in the development of perioperative care guidelines, and accrued significant grant funding to pursue his research program. Among his leadership positions, he currently directs McGill’s Surgical Scientist Program and the master’s Program in Surgical Outcomes Research.
