“Silje Stensholt Holte, MD, PhD candidate, is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Telemark Hospital Trust in Norway with extensive clinical experience and a strong commitment to high-quality patient care. Her clinical work spans the full spectrum of colorectal surgery, with a particular emphasis on complex rectal cancer management and minimally invasive techniques.
Alongside her clinical practice, she is actively engaged in research aimed at improving postoperative recovery, long-term functional outcomes, and health-related quality of life following colorectal surgery. Her current work focuses especially on patients affected by low anterior resection syndrome (LARS), with the goal of better understanding its impact and developing strategies to prevent and manage this challenging condition.
